How is each market’s daily move calculated?

It is the market-cap-weighted day change of the market’s largest covered stocks, computed from live (15-minute delayed) prices against the prior close. It is our coverage-based gauge, not the official index level: benchmarks like the Nikkei 225 or FTSE 100 are licensed series, so we compute from the constituents we track, which directionally follows the index.

What does the circle size mean?

Circle area scales with the market’s total market capitalization in US dollars, summed across every covered company headquartered there, converted at daily exchange rates and refreshed nightly with a live price overlay.
