This fund's primary objective is to achieve substantial growth in capital over an extended period. It commits at least 80% of its total assets, including any borrowed funds, to acquire shares of small-capitalization companies. These companies are identified by their market values at the time of acquisition, which are comparable to those found within the Russell 2000® Value Index or the Standard & Poor's SmallCap 600 Index. While primarily focused on U.S. stock markets, the fund also has the discretion to allocate up to 35% of its net assets to international equities, with a subset of that, up to 10%, potentially invested in companies situated in developing nations.
