This fund primarily aims to generate significant capital appreciation for investors over an extended period. Typically, it commits at least 80% of its total assets, including any borrowed funds, to equity investments or other financial products. These investments will either be components of the Russell 2000® Index or issued by companies with similar market values. While its main strategy involves purchasing common stocks, it also has the flexibility to invest in preferred stocks and convertible securities. On occasion, the fund may also acquire shares of companies through initial public offerings (IPOs).
