This fund aims to achieve long-term capital growth. Ordinarily, it commits a minimum of 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowed funds for investment purposes) to equity securities or other financial instruments. These investments are either components of the Russell 2000® Index or are issued by companies with market capitalizations comparable to those within that index. While its primary focus is on acquiring common stock, the fund also has the flexibility to invest in preferred shares and convertible securities. Furthermore, it may, from time to time, participate in new share issues or initial public offerings (IPOs) of companies.
