Views, Buy Targets, and Signals
The four watchlist views, how Pro buy-price and yield targets work, and what each signal level means.
The watchlist is one list with four lenses. Switch between them with the view pills above the table — each view is shareable, since the selected view and list ride the URL.
The Four Views
- Price Dip Finder (default) — spots tickers sold off versus their own averages: price vs the 50-day and 200-day lines and the 52-week high, with a sparkline for context.
- Dividend Overview — the full dividend picture per ticker: forward and trailing yield, annual dividend, payment frequency, the next dividend with ex-dividend and pay dates, 1/3/5/10-year dividend growth, and payout ratios against both earnings and free cash flow.
- Price Target Tracker (Pro) — set a buy price per ticker; the row shows how far the price is from your target and flips to a buy signal when it gets there.
- Yield Target Tracker (Pro) — the same idea for income buyers: set a target yield, and the row signals when the stock's yield reaches it.
On a free account the two tracker views show a lock on their pills — opening one shows a sample of the real tracker table rather than your data.
Setting Buy and Yield Targets (Pro)
Open a row's target editor to set a buy price, a target yield, or both. Every row also takes a free-form note from its own note action (notes are free for everyone). Targets are the input the tracker views and signals run on. If you set targets in the old terminal before upgrading rules changed, they still render on a free account and can be removed — you just need Pro to set new ones.
How the Signals Work
Each tracker signal has five levels, so you see momentum toward a target, not just a binary yes/no:
- Super Buy — well past your target (roughly 10%+ below a buy price, or meaningfully above a target yield)
- Strong Buy — comfortably past it
- Buy — at or past the target
- Getting Close — within striking distance
- Not Yet — still above your buy price (or below your target yield)
The Heat Map
Toggle the table into a heat map — an equal-size tile grid of your list with a color-and-sort picker that maps the metric of your choice: price-action lenses on the Dip Finder (defaulting to distance below the 200-day average), dividend-health lenses on the Dividend Overview (defaulting to forward yield). It's the fastest way to read your whole list at a glance.
