Watchlist Limits by Plan
What Free and Pro watchlists include, what happens when you hit the ticker cap, and how curated-list cloning works.
The watchlist has two plan tiers, and the limits are simple.
What Free Includes
- one watchlist with up to 20 tickers
- The Price Dip Finder and Dividend Overview views
- The heat map, and per-ticker notes
That's a real tool, not a teaser — the free cap is sized for a focused list of the names you genuinely follow.
What Pro Adds
- Up to 25 named lists — create, rename, reorder, and delete them, so you can keep "Core Holdings," "Dip Candidates," and "High Yield" separate
- Up to 1,000 tickers per list
- Unlimited buy-price and yield targets, which power the Price Target Tracker and Yield Target Tracker views
What Happens When You Hit the Cap
The cap governs adding: once your list holds 20 tickers on Free, new adds are blocked and you'll see an upgrade prompt. Nothing is ever removed for you — if your list came in over the cap (for example, carried over from the old terminal), every ticker keeps rendering with full data. Remove a ticker and the freed slot is usable immediately.
The same applies if you downgrade from Pro: your lists and tickers stay visible; only adding past the free cap and setting new targets require Pro again.
Cloning a Curated List
Dividend Data maintains curated stock lists — Dividend Kings, Dividend Aristocrats, index memberships, and more. From the watchlist's empty state you can clone a starter list in one click — it fills the empty list you're viewing, truncating at your plan's ticker cap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my tickers be deleted if I go over the limit?
No. The cap only blocks new adds. Every ticker already on your list keeps rendering with full data, whatever your plan.
Can I have more than one watchlist on the free plan?
Free includes one list. Multiple named lists (up to 25) are a Pro feature — see Plans, Pricing, and What Pro Unlocks.
