Install Dividend Data as an App

Dividend Data installs straight from the website, no app store needed. The installed app opens full screen with its own icon, stays signed in, and updates itself every time the site does. Open dividenddata.com/app on the device you want it on, choose Install App from your account menu (avatar, top right), or go to Settings → Mobile App. The steps shown there match your device.

Apple Devices

On an iPhone or iPad, Apple doesn't let websites show an install button, so it takes three taps:

• Tap the Share button (Safari: the toolbar at the bottom, or behind the ⋯ button on newer iPhones; Chrome: next to the address bar).
• Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you see an Open as Web App switch, leave it on.
• Tap Add.

Then open Dividend Data from your Home Screen. The installed app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari, so it asks you to sign in once. After that it offers to turn on dividend alerts for the phone.

Android

Chrome, Samsung Internet, and Edge show an Install button in the dialog. If it doesn't appear, open the browser menu (the three dots) and choose Install App or Add to Home Screen. Dividend Data then lives in your app drawer like any other app.

Computers

In Chrome or Edge on Windows, Mac, or a Chromebook, choose Install Dividend Data from the dialog, the install icon at the end of the address bar, or the browser menu. It opens in its own window with its own icon in the taskbar or Dock. In Safari on a Mac, choose File → Add to Dock. The dialog on a computer also shows a QR code: point your phone camera at it to get the app on your phone.

Push Notifications

Once push is on, a dividend payment from a linked brokerage, or an estimated payment due for a manual account, pings your device even when Dividend Data is closed. Tapping it opens the payment's envelope. The installed app offers to turn it on the first time you open it; you can also turn it on per device any time in Settings → Mobile App (or the Notifications card on the Portfolio Settings tab). Use Send a Test to check it arrives. Which notifications reach you is up to you: every kind has its own switch in Settings → Notifications (Choose Which Notifications You Get).

• On an iPhone or iPad, push notifications only work inside the installed app, so install first, then turn them on from Settings inside the app.
• Amounts show in your display currency and number format.
• Community members also get messages, requests, invitations, replies and mentions on their devices (reactions only if you turn them on). Nothing is sent while you are already reading that conversation.

If Notifications Are Blocked

• iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap Notifications, then Dividend Data, and turn on Allow Notifications.
• Android app: press and hold the Dividend Data icon, tap App Info, then Notifications, and allow them.
• Chrome or Edge: click the icon to the left of the address bar, open Site Settings (or Permissions), and set Notifications to Allow. Then reload the page.
• Safari on a Mac: Safari → Settings → Websites → Notifications, and set dividenddata.com to Allow.
