The primary objective of this investment vehicle is to achieve substantial growth in capital over an extended timeframe. Ordinarily, the fund's manager allocates a minimum of 80% of the portfolio's value to shares of smaller U.S. enterprises. Furthermore, a segment of the fund's assets may be channeled into equities of U.S. companies with medium market capitalizations. The term "U.S. companies" is defined by the adviser as businesses that conduct operations within the United States, are legally formed in the U.S., or whose shares are bought and sold on a U.S. stock exchange or through the over-the-counter market.
