

Just when U.S. alcohol makers were hoping to regain access to Canada, President Donald Trump‘s latest tariffs have revived a trade dispute that has already battered one of the industry's biggest export markets.

TAP leans on pricing, premiumization and price-pack changes to cushion volume declines as U.S. beer demand and shipments remain weak.

Tap Global Group PLC (LSE:TAP), the AIM-listed digital finance company, saw its shares rise 18% to 1.30pt, up from a previous close of 1.10p, after it reported stronger-than-expected revenue and a sharp narrowing of its operating loss. The shares opened at 1.20p, compared with a previous close of 1.10p, before reaching 1.30p, according to London Stock Exchange data.

Molson Coors Beverage Company is rated a Strong Buy, with current valuation reflecting an irrationally deep discount despite macro headwinds. TAP's Q2 results showed resilient free cash flow and stable balance sheet, even as volumes declined and consumer weakness persisted, especially in the US. Management reaffirmed 2026 guidance, targeting $1.1B underlying FCF, $650M CAPEX, and ongoing $450M cost savings initiatives through 2029.
