Typically, this fund allocates a minimum of 80% of its net assets to equity securities of precious metals companies listed in the United States. It also employs derivatives, primarily consisting of futures contracts and options linked to securities, other futures, and stock indices. The fund has the flexibility to commit a substantial portion of its capital to small and mid-capitalization precious metals firms. Furthermore, it may acquire American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) to gain exposure to foreign precious metals businesses and can invest in U.S. government securities.
