The First Trust Bloomberg R&D Leaders ETF (referred to as the "Fund") is designed to closely track the overall performance, including both capital appreciation and income, of the Bloomberg R&D Leaders Select Index (the "Index"), before deducting the Fund's operating fees and expenses. Ordinarily, the Fund utilizes a passive indexing investment strategy, committing a minimum of 80% of its net assets (along with any borrowed capital for investment purposes) to the securities that constitute the Index.
