The Perritt Ultra MicroCap Fund is designed to allocate a significant portion—at least 80%—of its total net assets (including any borrowed funds used for investment) to the common stock of companies based in the United States. These companies must have a market capitalization below $300 million at the moment of purchase, a category its investment advisor refers to as "micro-cap" enterprises. Furthermore, the fund has the option to invest in "early stage" micro-cap companies, which are defined as developing firms in their formative growth phases, possessing market valuations that do not exceed $50 million.
