This fund's objective is to deliver both consistent income and capital growth. It commits a minimum of 80% of its total holdings to assets that generate revenue. Furthermore, at least 65% of its portfolio is dedicated to preferred shares and various types of fixed-income instruments. The fund has no upper limit on its allocation to speculative, lower-rated debt, frequently termed "high-yield" or "junk" bonds. Up to half of its net assets may also be placed in U.S. dollar-denominated securities issued by foreign corporations.
