The fund primarily targets small-capitalization companies, committing a minimum of 80% of its total investable capital (which includes its net assets along with any borrowed funds) to their equity shares. These companies typically hold market valuations, at the time of purchase, that are comparable to those represented in either the Russell 2000® Value Index or the Standard & Poor's SmallCap 600 Index. Although its main holdings are U.S. equities, the fund retains the flexibility to allocate up to 35% of its net assets to non-U.S. stock, with a sub-limit allowing up to 10% of its net assets to be invested in companies located within emerging market nations.
