The Noble Absolute Return ETF is an actively managed investment vehicle that trades on exchanges. Its primary objective is to generate returns by strategically acquiring (going long on) securities anticipated to increase in price, and/or selling short those projected to decline. The portfolio's scope extends to publicly traded equities from both domestic (U.S.) and global exchanges, featuring companies of all market capitalization tiers – large, mid, and small. Notably, it operates as a non-diversified fund.

This week saw a total of 17 ETF launches, a major rebound from last week when only six funds debuted and a reversal of the summer trend of fewer launches. ETF closures continued their march forward, with several completing during the week and another handful announced.

As markets navigate the typical end-of-summer lull, investors are increasingly exploring diversified strategies that help to protect their portfolios from downside risk.

Only eight funds debuted during the week ending August 11. The new ETF launches included a sustainable commodity fund from USCF Advisers, two fixed income ETFs from Strive Asset Management, and an options strategy ETF targeting Netflix stock from YieldMax.

An exchange-traded fund headed by George Noble, a vocal critic of stocks such as Tesla, and of celebrity bulls such as Cathie Wood, will stop trading and liquidate later this month.

Still good security selection for Noble Absolute Return ETF, but bad sizing discipline. What happened with that combination? Catastrophe.
