The fund's main strategy for achieving its investment objective involves dedicating at least 80% of its net assets, including any capital borrowed for investment, to the common and preferred shares of companies operating in emerging market countries. These companies must also align with one or more of the fund's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. While the fund retains the flexibility to invest in businesses based in developed nations, it is prohibited from making such a purchase if, at the time of that transaction, more than 20% of the fund's total assets are already allocated to developed market companies.
