ISWN endeavors to mirror the investment performance of the S-Network International BlackSwan Index. The Index's methodology is structured to provide broad exposure to the MSCI EAFE, unrestricted by artificial caps, while simultaneously incorporating safeguards to mitigate substantial market declines. The fund's asset allocation typically consists of around 90% in U.S. Treasury securities, with the remaining approximately 10% strategically placed in in-the-money call options on EFA.

The new fund is a combination of Treasurys and tech options.

Amplify ETFs announced the launch of the Amplify BlackSwan Tech & Treasury ETF (NYSE Arca: QSWN), the third ETF in their BlackSwan ETF suite. It joins the Amplify BlackSwan Growth & Treasury Core ETF (SWAN) and the Amplify BlackSwan ISWN ETF (ISWN) in providing investors with large-cap technology and growth companies with a built-in hedged approach.

ISWN, based on the S-Network International BlackSwan Index, began trading on the NYSE on January 26, 2021. Its US predecessor, SWAN, performed admirably during the market swoon in the spring of 2020 and has offered superior risk-adjusted returns compared to the S&P 500.

On Tuesday, Amplify ETFs announced the launch of the Amplify BlackSwan ISWN ETF (NYSE Arca: ISWN), an index-based ETF that seeks to hedge against significant losses while still participating in the uncapped upside of international equities. ISWN invests in a combination of two low-correlated assets: U.S. Treasury securities and long-term options (LEAPS) on the MSCI EAFE.
