- What KPIs does Alphabet Inc. report?
- The KPIs tab tracks 5 operating metrics and 15 segment figures that Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) reports each quarter, including Cost-per-Click Change, Cost-per-Impression Change, Impressions Change, Paid Clicks Change, Traffic Acquisition Costs and Google Cloud Revenue, with history back to the quarter ended December 31, 2018.
- Where do GOOGL's KPIs come from?
- From Alphabet Inc.'s own reporting: its quarterly earnings releases and investor documents, its 10-Q and 10-K reports and the financial data tagged in them. Each value is read from the document it links to. Before a metric is shown, its history is cross-checked against an independent dataset or, for a figure that dataset never carried, against Alphabet Inc.'s own later filings, which print each quarter again; each new quarter passes consistency checks (its scale against earlier quarters and its sign) before it is shown. A segment figure read from the earnings release before the 10-Q or 10-K is filed is marked Provisional until that filing is read, and a figure the filing tags for the quarter then replaces it; a figure computed from reported parts (a fourth quarter as the year less the first nine months, or a gross profit as revenue less cost) is marked as computed, and when Alphabet Inc. restates a figure on a new basis, the tab shows where the new basis begins.
- Is the GOOGL KPIs tab free?
- The KPIs tab is part of Dividend Data Pro. Without Pro, the tab lists every metric it holds for GOOGL, so you can see what is there before you upgrade.
