The fund primarily directs its capital towards a variety of debt instruments. These include U.S. government bonds, mortgage- and asset-backed securities from both domestic and international markets, and corporate debt offerings. While the core of its fixed-income portfolio targets securities with maturities typically spanning three to five years (short- to intermediate-term), the fund also retains the flexibility to invest in longer-dated instruments.
