The fund aims to achieve superior investment returns, on a gross basis (before deducting fees and expenses), compared to the performance of the MSCI World Index. To accomplish this, it allocates a significant portion—a minimum of 40% of its net assets (potentially augmented by borrowed funds)—to equity securities of companies operating outside the United States. This includes businesses that are either domiciled or headquartered internationally, or those whose primary commercial activities or main stock exchange listings are located in non-U.S. markets.
