These holdings can be denominated in any currency, including the issuer's own local currency. An entity is categorized as an Emerging Market Issuer if it is domiciled in an Emerging Market Country, or if it earns at least half of its revenue or profits from operations (such as producing, selling, investing, or providing services) within one or more Emerging Market Countries. Additionally, it qualifies if a minimum of 50% of its assets are located in such nations.
