The fund is mandated to invest a minimum of 80% of its net assets, inclusive of any capital borrowed for investment, in common stocks issued by companies of all market capitalizations. It has the discretion to allocate up to 30% of its holdings to international securities, with a specific ceiling of 10% for investments in companies based in emerging markets. While the fund typically deploys almost all of its capital into common shares and American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), it maintains the flexibility to invest in other types of equity securities as well.
