Export and Share Charts
Turn any chart into a clean image with the export workspace, or share the live chart as a URL.
Once you've built a chart worth keeping, you have two ways to get it out of the Terminal: share the live chart as a link, or export a presentation-ready image.
Share a Chart by URL
The simplest share is the address bar. The Chart Builder keeps your entire chart state — tickers, metrics, period, timeframe, colors, labels, trend lines — in the URL. Copy it and send it; the recipient opens the same interactive chart (clamped to their own plan's limits if yours is bigger). If they're signed out, they'll be asked to create a free account first, and the link brings them straight back to your chart afterward.
The Export Image Workspace
For a static image — a slide, a post, a note to yourself — use the export workspace:
- Build your chart in the Chart Builder, then choose Download & Export. (Chart cards on stock and fund pages jump here directly via their Export Chart links.)
- The chart opens in a dedicated presentation view — a clean, full-size rendering without the editing controls.
- Download it as a PNG image, ready to drop anywhere.
The export renders exactly what you built: same data, same colors, same labels. If something looks off in the export, fix it in the builder first — the image is a faithful snapshot.
What Free and Pro Can Export
Exporting follows the same limits as building, nothing extra is gated:
- Free accounts can use the export workspace for any chart they can build — one ticker, one metric, a five-year window.
- Pro accounts can export the full range: up to six series, 10-year, all-time, and extended custom ranges, and Pro-gated metrics.
- Signed-out visitors see a preview landing instead of the workspace. The chart link is preserved, so after creating a free account you land on the chart you came for.
