TORONTO and NEW YORK, July 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomson Reuters Corporation (TSX/Nasdaq: TRI) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to enter into a joint venture with KKR, a leading global investment firm. As part of the transaction, Thomson Reuters will sell a 51% stake in its Global Print business to capital accounts advised by KKR.

According to a report from its own news agency, this will affect up to 500 engineers. This is due largely to its continuing embrace of AI solutions.

Thomson Reuters on Monday said it is cutting "a small number of roles" in engineering, as the Canadian content and technology company aggressively deploys artificial intelligence across its businesses.
