Copper-related exchange traded funds rebounded Friday after the copper market suffered through its worst weekly pullback in a year. On Friday, the United States Copper Index Fund (CPER) rose 0.3% and the iPath Series B Bloomberg Copper Subindex Total Return ETN (JJC) was 0.7% higher.

Copper-related exchange traded funds have been taking a beating as fears of a global recession have weighed on the demand outlook for industrial metals. Year-to-date, the United States Copper Index Fund (NYSEARCA: CPER) declined 23.8% and the iPath Series B Bloomberg Copper Subindex Total Return ETN (NYSEArca: JJC) was 23.4% lower.
