BOSTON, Aug. 5, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- As previously announced, shareholders of Eaton Vance New York Municipal Income Trust (NYSE American: EVY) (the "Fund") have voted to approve the liquidation and termination of the Fund pursuant to the Plan of Liquidation and Termination (the "Plan") adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Fund. The Fund expects that, for purposes of the liquidation, the proportionate interests of shareholders in the net assets of the Fund will be fixed on the basis of their respective holdings as of the close of business on August 20, 2021 (the "Liquidation Date").
