NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cornerstone Strategic Investment Fund, Inc. (NYSE American: CLM) (CUSIP: 21924B302) and Cornerstone Total Return Fund, Inc. (NYSE American: CRF) (CUSIP: 21924U300), (individually the “Fund” or, collectively, the “Funds”), each a closed-end management investment company, announced that in keeping with each Fund's previously adopted monthly distribution policy, each Fund is declaring the following distributions:

Cornerstone Total Return Fund and Cornerstone Strategic Investment Fund present unique total return opportunities for income-focused investors, especially via DRIP at NAV. Both CRF and CLM have announced an upcoming rights offering (RO), allowing shareholders to buy new shares at a 4% premium to NAV, likely reducing current premiums. Share dilution from the RO may temporarily depress market prices, but history suggests premiums and prices often recover post-offering as new capital is deployed.

A distribution yield near 19% sounds like a gift. For holders of Cornerstone Strategic Investment Fund (NYSE:CLM), Cornerstone Total Return Fund (NYSE:CRF), and PIMCO Dynamic Income Fund (NYSE:PDI), that headline number can function as a slow refund of your own capital, delivered monthly, with a tax bill attached.

Cornerstone Strategic Investment Fund remains a buy as its premium-to-NAV stays below the 20% threshold, supporting continued accumulation and DRIP benefits. CLM offers a 19.6% annualized yield with monthly distributions, and reinvesting at NAV provides an immediate capital gain equal to the premium-to-NAV. The fund's equity portfolio, heavily weighted toward technology, is positioned to benefit from AI-driven market expansion and strong mega-cap earnings.
