Primary data sources
Market data (prices, quotes, market status) is licensed from third-party institutional market-data providers that aggregate from major exchange feeds. Typical latency: end-of-day for closing prices, ~15 minutes for intraday quotes during regular market hours.
Fundamental data (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, segments) comes from licensed financial-data partners and is reconciled against company SEC filings. Quarterly filings (10-Q) and annual filings (10-K) drive the primary update cadence.
Dividend declarations, ex-dates, and payment dates come from the same licensed financial-data partners and are verified against company press releases for the top 500 dividend stocks by average daily volume.
Refresh cadence
Quotes refresh in real-time (sub-15-minute) during regular market hours.
Profile and corporate-action data (dividend declarations, splits) refresh nightly.
Fundamentals (income / balance / cash flow) refresh as new 10-Q and 10-K filings are parsed, typically within 48 hours of SEC submission.
Source revisions and corrections
When an upstream provider issues a data correction (e.g. a restated historical metric), our cache invalidates within the next regularly scheduled refresh and the corrected value replaces the prior one. We do not maintain a separate revision history beyond the most recent published value.
If you find a value that disagrees with a primary source (a company filing or press release), email research@dividenddata.com with the URL and the source. We investigate within 48 business hours.
What we do NOT do
We do not generate fundamental data ourselves. All raw values pass through from licensed upstream providers; our value-add is the editorial framing, scoring models, and presentation.
We do not provide investment advice. All content is informational only — see the disclaimer on every page.
