How Credits Work
The monthly data-credit pool shared by the Terminal and the spreadsheet add-ins.
Credits are the usage meter for data requests. Every plan gets a monthly pool — one pool shared across the Terminal, the Excel add-in, and the Google Sheets add-in:
- Free: 2,500 credits per month
- Pro: 150,000 credits per month
In practice, credits only matter for the spreadsheet add-ins, where each custom-function call fetches data. Normal browsing in the Terminal — stock pages, watchlists, charts — doesn't eat through your pool.
Checking Your Balance
Your plan's monthly allowance shows in Settings under Account; your live month-to-date usage shows on the Spreadsheets hub next to the function reference.
Running Out
If a spreadsheet function returns a credits error, you've hit the month's pool. Options: wait for the monthly reset, trim how many cells recalculate (a sheet with hundreds of function calls re-fetches on every recalculation), or upgrade to Pro for the larger pool.
